About Our Clinic

Our state-of-the-art clinic is uniquely situated on the Mission Hospital Laguna Beach campus. This proximity affords us access to all of the hospital services and ancillary behavioral health support while providing each patient a safe, comfortable, and private outpatient infusion.

The goal of Ketamine Wellness Clinic of Orange County is to support your healing journey in overcoming debilitating mood and pain disorders through the use of ketamine infusion therapy.

Michael Bronson, MD

Dr. Michael Bronson board-certified anesthesiologist. He completed his medical training at the University of California San Diego. He practices in Orange County, California and holds various leadership positions in his private practice group, including serving as a Director of the Orthopedic and Neurosurgical Service Line and a member of the Board of Directors. At the hospital level, he is an active participant in committees and serves on the Medical Executive Board.

Aside from his medical practice, Dr. Bronson is an accomplished entrepreneur, having founded and scaled multiple healthcare businesses. He currently serves as the CEO of the Wellness Clinic of Orange County, which provides therapeutic infusions for mood and pain disorders. He also co-founded AnesthesiaGo, a scheduling software for anesthesiologists, which was acquired by PerfectServe.

Dr. Bronson’s expertise is sought after by various medical device companies, and he regularly provides advisory and consulting services to them. He is also a published author, having co-authored several chapters in Clinical Anesthesiology, a textbook by the renowned anesthesiologist Jonathon Benumof, MD, during his time as Chief Resident at UCSD.

In his personal life, Dr. Bronson enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife and three children. He has a range of hobbies, from cooking and reading to traveling, picnicking at the beach, and attending sporting events.

Shawn Bullock, MD

Dr. Shawn Bullock is a highly trained and experienced physician, having completed his medical education at the prestigious University of California San Francisco. He then went on to complete his residency at the University of California San Diego Medical Center, where he developed expertise in the field of anesthesiology. Dr. Bullock further pursued his passion in medicine by completing a fellowship in pain medicine at the same institution.

Currently, Dr. Bullock serves as a dedicated physician at Ketamine Wellness Clinic of Orange County. He takes pride in getting to know his patients personally, and finds it immensely rewarding to witness the improvements in their health and wellbeing that result from his care. Dr. Bullock’s patients appreciate his compassionate approach, as well as his clinical acumen and expertise.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Dr. Bullock enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid snowboarder and mountain biker, and enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the Eastern Sierras.

Dan Hancock, MD

Dr. Dan Hancock is a highly accomplished physician with a deep commitment to providing exceptional care to his patients. After completing his medical education at St. George’s University School of Medicine, he pursued further training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he honed his skills in the field of anesthesiology.

Today, Dr. Hancock serves as the Medical Director and Chief Operating Officer at Ketamine Wellness Clinic of Orange County, where he is responsible for overseeing the clinic’s operations and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. He finds great satisfaction in seeing his patients experience relief from their symptoms following successful ketamine infusion treatments.

Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Hancock is passionate about spending time with his family and engaging in outdoor activities. He enjoys travel and shares his love of surfing, snowboarding, and fishing with his two children.

Caroline Tran, MD

Dr. Caroline Tran is a compassionate and dedicated physician who finds great fulfillment in helping her patients achieve optimal mental health. After completing her medical education at the University of California Los Angeles, she went on to complete her residency at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center.

Today, Dr. Tran serves as a valued member of the Women and Infant’s Executive Committee at Providence Mission Hospital where she works tirelessly to ensure the best possible care for her patients. She is particularly passionate about her work at Ketamine Wellness Clinic of Orange County, where she has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the mental health of her community.

In her free time, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with her children and volunteering at their school and sporting events. She and her family love to play tennis, go camping, and spend time at the beach. Dr. Tran’s unwavering dedication to her patients and her community, as well as her dedication to her family, make her an inspiration to all who know her.

Kevin Marcus, MD

Kevin Marcus, MD is a board-certified anesthesiologist with an impressive academic background including a National Board of Echocardiography certification. He received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed his residency at the University of California San Diego Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Marcus went on to complete a fellowship in Cardiothoracic at the same institution. He is also a published author of a textbook chapter in Clinical Anesthesiology, a textbook by the renowned anesthesiologist Jonathon Benumof, MD.

Dr. Marcus was a member of the AOA Medical Honor Society and was the University of California San Diego Chief Resident from 2014-2015. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the Ketamine Wellness Clinic of Orange County.

Outside of work, Dr. Marcus enjoys golfing and spending quality time with his family. He loves watching his kids learn new sports and taking them on camping trips. Dr. Marcus finds working at Ketamine Wellness Clinic of Orange County to be incredibly rewarding. He loves getting to know patients and hearing about their journey with ketamine as well as seeing what a positive impact ketamine can make on one’s life.

Benjamin Sanders, MD

Benjamin Sanders, MD is a board-certified anesthesiologist who received his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his residency at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Sanders is passionate about patient care and takes the time to listen to each patient’s story, providing a tailored treatment plan following the clinic’s evidence-based protocols. He finds great satisfaction in seeing the life-changing progress of his patients at Ketamine Wellness Clinic of Orange County. In his free time, Dr. Sanders enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the natural beauty of Orange County and abroad, and indulging in delicious food.

Alyssa Sanders, LCSW

Alyssa Sanders, LCSW, is a dedicated Ketamine Assisted Therapist who provides therapy to patients throughout their ketamine treatments. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work in May 2012. She also holds a BA in English, graduating Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles in September 2009.

Alyssa’s advanced training in Ketamine Assisted Therapy provides patients with additional therapy support before and after their infusions. Ketamine Assisted Therapy aims to maximize the benefit of ketamine infusions through therapy sessions surrounding the time of your infusion. The sessions are conducted in the days leading up to or following your infusions in order to allow you to be fully present during your infusion.

Motivated by personal and professional experiences, Alyssa is deeply committed to mental health advocacy. She creates a compassionate and accepting environment for her clients, fostering a space free from judgment. She is fascinated by the healing potential of Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, particularly the profound impact of Ketamine Assisted Therapy in providing hope to those who have not found relief in other treatments.

In her free time, Alyssa enjoys crafting with her children and spending time in the great outdoors.

Susan DeRobertis,
BSN, BSN, PMHRN-BC

Susan DeRobertis, BSN, BSN, PMHRN-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cal State Fullerton.

Susan’s commitment to mental health and wellness is driven by a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those struggling with mood disorders. Having witnessed firsthand the limitations of traditional therapies for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mood and chronic pain disorders, she is an advocate of ketamine infusion therapy as a transformative treatment option. Susan is passionate about supporting individuals and their families through their mental health journeys and continues to be excited when she sees firsthand the positive changes that ketamine therapy can bring.

Over the past decade, Susan has dedicated herself to providing care at the Mental Health and Wellness Institute at Mission Hospital Laguna Beach. She is also a nursing instructor at the University of California, Irvine.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Susan is a devoted mother, a talented musician, and an avid live music fan. She finds joy in spending quality time with her daughters, traveling, and attending concerts.

Iris Mejia, RN

Iris Mejia, RN, is a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Hawaii Maui College. With 21 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery nurse, she developed a keen interest in mental health nursing. Her firsthand experience with ketamine infusion therapy led her to pursue her passion in this field.

Iris is dedicated to helping patients achieve their optimal well-being through compassionate care and evidence-based practices.

Outside of work, Iris enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.
